The large number of functions and the big new OLED display demanded a whole new approach for the design of ASL’s new digital beltpack for stage and theatre intercom. Limited amount of space and the need for a physical, taptic engine forced us to come up with a whole new idea for menu navigation; it could be described as a semi-touch screen. The ability to press the 4 edges of the screen is a new and easy way to navigate through the menu. The condensed architecture made the Flexus Beltpack one of the most compact intercom beltpacks on the market (see also DS Series & Pro Line).
