Lit’l Indoor Electric Wheelchair
With the help of plastic component supplier Pekago Ligtvoet Products had built their reputation and leading position in wheelchairs and scooters on a modern appearance, away from the sad mechanical health insurance look of the eighties. The development of the new indoor wheelchair again relied heavily on the work of the brilliant in-house engineer Arno van der Vorst. He took care of the mechanical engineering with a telescopic column that provides users an equal position, with both practical and social benefits. Professional design expertise was needed to take the most out of the proven finishing method: 5 axis milling of vacuum formed ABS. With a mixture of automotive styling and product design Promea added as much cohesion and emotional value as possible. An important new product and a statement from the company that takes its audience really seriously.
