To bring the concept of parcel pick-up points to the Netherlands, Last Mile Logistics disregarded existing technology by leaving out the usual control panel. By doing so, the product saved a significant amount of space, while reducing maintenance and product costs. It takes advantage of all the benefits of smartphone operation via a specially designed app. All sheet metal engineering of the modular lockers was executed by Promea in a record time. The pick-up points are operational at the University of Tilburg and at Eindhoven’s High Tech Campus, leading to joint ventures with Dutch postal market leader PostNL.
