As part of the Philips design team Promea got briefed about the creating the successor of the Diamond epilators. Diamond had come to the end of its lifecycle and new consumer insights showing the need for the total absence of any edges in the design and the desire to offer wireless operation. The product comes with an ice pack for further reducing the experience of irritation or pain. The market for ladies care products of the Klagenfurt factory could be expanded solving these shortcomings by design. Promea contributed to the project from concept development up to surface modelling in Rhino for prototyping.
