Van der Sijs, a company for the design and production of high quality electrical installations developed an integrated system for smart vehicle charging and solar energy. Initially designed to serve the company’s own electrical fleet It proved to be very effective in the commercial market in their cooperation with a leading network supplier. With the ambition to operate independently van der Sijs decided to come up with their own and new hardware design. Promea studied the latest insight on working process, manufacturing options and state of the art components and presented a modular system with endless possibilities and is cheaper to produce and easier to install. The polycarbonate front panel contains easy to understand info graphics, and is made to be printed with the client specific corporate identity. The system was launched at the 2018 edition of the Dutch Design Week as the largest temporary charging station in Europe.
